Primarily a farming community, Dayton is known for its cultural events like the annual Governor’s Cup Regatta, the Mercer County Fair, and the Dayton Lake Festival. St. Henry is just 15 miles away from Dayton for nearby boating, swimming, and camping and also boasts the North Park with a playground and ball diamonds and South Park with an amphitheater.
Coldwater

Located about 35 miles outside Fort Wayne, Van Wert has a thriving population of 11,000 with dozens of cultural activities, historical attractions, and outdoor recreation. The city’s crown jewel is the Brumback Library, the country’s first county library with impressive Romanesque and Gothic architecture complete with turreted towers. The city also offers several parks like Smiley Park with tennis and basketball courts, baseball and softball fields, a fishing pond, and playground.
